Southwest China covers Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Tibet, a diverse region that connects inland China with Southeast Asia and South Asia through mountains, plateaus, and major river systems. It combines strong strengths in manufacturing and equipment, energy and resources, agriculture and specialty foods, tourism and cultural industries, as well as emerging roles in logistics corridors toward ASEAN and South Asia.

In recent years, Southwest China has been accelerating infrastructure development, expanding advanced manufacturing, promoting digital and green industries, and building new land‑sea corridors that link the region with coastal ports.
