Welcome to Northeast China
Northeast China covers Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang, a region historically known as the country’s “old industrial base” and an important gateway to Northeast Asia. It combines heavy industry, equipment manufacturing, energy and raw materials, agriculture, and border trade with Russia, the Korean Peninsula, and Japan through coastal and land ports.
In recent years, Northeast China has been pushing a new round of revitalisation, upgrading traditional industries, developing emerging sectors such as automobiles, equipment, petrochemicals, food processing, new materials, and modern services, and improving its business environment. For overseas businesses, this region is especially relevant for industrial manufacturing, agrifood supply chains, energy and resources, cross-border logistics to Northeast Asia, and projects that link China’s northern markets with neighbouring countries.
